Studio U has been a miracle worker for me. Years of debilitating back pain affected all aspects of my life. After a few months of pilates with Kristin, I am able to move in ways I would not have thought possible. I have far less pain with greater mobility and endurance. In short, I look and feel better. Studio U works with clients of many ages and enables them to reach and maintain new and higher levels of physical performance. Kristin's success lies in her client-centered, knowledge based approach that is enhanced by her energy and coaching skills. Studio U provided me with the necessary knowledge, training and support to enable me to complete my ACL rehabilitation two months ahead of my orthopedic surgeon’s expectations. Kristin's passion and dedication to her clients rehabilitation are both motivating and goal driven leading to outstanding results. Kristin is a very knowledgeable physical therapist. She is dedicated to what she does! She is one of the best physical therapists I have ever worked with! It has been my privilege to work with Kristin for the past six years. She is a talented therapist with extraordinary skills, particularly in the area of therapeutic exercise. She is a pleasure to work with on both a professional and personal basis. My balance, flexibility and strength have all improved very noticeably since Kristin has been supervising my pilates training. You will be pleased with Kristin – use her! I have worked with Kristin Procopio on and off for the past two years for various back, neck and shoulder issues. With each series of appointments, I have always appreciated her knowledge skill and professional approach. In Contrast to other physical therapists I have seen in the past who are quick to generalize or label a “condition”, Kristin really studies and observes every movement, twist and turn to determine what is “normal” vs. where she sees limitations in range, motion and strength. She is also an excellent listener, encouraging me to fully describe what I am feeling and what I see as problematic. Instead of making quick judgments about my condition and how to treat it, she has involved me in the diagnosis of possible causes and in defining courses of therapy that seem to work best for me with the specific quirks and spasms of my body. As each series of treatments progressed, Kristin constantly modified the course of therapy and exercises in response to how my body reacted, instead of rigidly sticking to the original treatment plan or insisting I just “tough it out” or “get an MRI”. This, along with the education I have received in the process of discussing my diagnosis and treatment options, has helped me get back to my old exercise routines and normal activities with far less invasive measures than other originally anticipated. It has also given me the confidence that I am in control of my treatment for the long haul. The learning I’ve received in this interactive process also helps me to more effectively continue the exercises that allow sustainable healing to avoid re-injury.
The results of my work with Kristin have been improvement and healing of my injuries along with a personalized exercise plan that I will continue to use. I recommend her to anyone who seeks the help of a physical therapist. |
